It's been awhile since i've blogged, but blogs are meant for those who seek to speak their minds, so shall I.
Here we go...
Religion! Here's how i stand on the issue and why. I gave a chance to a church and religion that is not of my belief. I was raised Lutheran and living where i do, there are no Lutheran churches in sight. So i went, gave it a chance, and saw right away that it wasn't going to work for my family or me.
It's full of wonderful people, no doubt about that. It also harbors a little judgement whether they see it or not. When you proceed to stop speaking to someone because you aren't "like them" thats judging. When you hear that you have been talked about when you aren't around...thats judging. Because i choose not to live the life they live...i am judged.
I'm sorry but that is not OK in my book. We all have our own way of living but trying to change someones life when they don't want to change it then shunning them out when they tell you otherwise.....that to me is not the christian thing to do. What have i ever done to you? Who are you to point a finger at me and tell me i am a sinner living a sinful life because i like and do things YOU dont approve of. What happened to "love thy neighbor"? I try to be a fairly open person about things and try certain things, but when something like this happens, i'm sorry i will call you out on it. Nothing you do make you any different than me or anyone else.
Recently, i was told i fell into a category of the "sick and twisted" individuals that went to watch 50 shades of grey. OH lord have mercy how i would have liked to REALLY speak my mind to those people. A few of them i have and i dont regret doing so. Its ok for them to say what they want and feel how they want to feel, but by damn you better not disagree with them because you are going straight into the pits of hell.
If I am for reading a book and seeing a move with SEX, then so be it. i will join the MILLIONS of others that see and read the same thing. Does this make me a sinner? No.....at least i dont think it does. Does this make me a bad person> NO....despite popular belief i am quite the opposite...until you piss me off anyways. There is only so much soap box preaching and finger pointing i can take before i explode and it becomes my turn to speak my mind.
Hate me if you will, but its no ones place to tell you your a sinner and tell you your a horrible person and put you into a category....thats judging. It can be called whatever to make it sound sweet and innocent, but at the end of the day "thou shalt not judge"

An Open Letter to my Step-Daughter......................
Dear Lauren,
The day I met your Daddy, I vaguley knew about you. When you start dating a person with a child it's not something they put out there right away. More so for your protection. You were born to loving parents who love you, but their love for one another grew apart. You didn't ask for a divided home, but sadly there isn't much you can do now.
As I slowly started to meet you, you were a tiny bright blue eyed little angel, and i mean little. You were only a year and a half old. Was I scared at first? Kinda. I wasn't sure you were going to like me, and If you didn't like me, well that meant your daddy wouldn't like me either. BUT, you started to come around and you somehow wrapped your tiny innocent fingers around my heart, and thats how this all began.
You see Lauren, I never saw myself having children. Of my own or step. I never thought I would be a good mother or step mother. I was scared of kids. Scared of the changes it brings about in your life, you begin to live for someone else and not yourself anymore. I was truly terrified.
.....then you came along.
I admit, i still have a lot of work to do as a step mom. Even though I've been your Lizzy for almost 5 years now, parenting isn't something that happens overnight. Especially being a step-parent. That is by far the hardest job as a grown up. I have rules and boundaries i have to follow just to be your "other mommy". I have to respect what your mother and father set forth for you, even if my opinion of the matter is different than theirs. Your mommy, daddy and I were all raised different and to try and raise a child in a divided home on the same terms is hard. There are times that the things I do for you will be over-looked no matter how great it may be. Thats something I will have to accept. As long as YOU know that what I do for you is because I love you, it doesnt matter what anyone else says. I wipe your tears, comb your hair, read you stories, take care of you when your sick, all that at time are over-looked, but I know that in your heart you see it and you know that i love you. Thats just part of being a step-mom. No matter what I do or what I give, i will always be the "other mommy". and thats ok. God placed me in you and your daddy's life for a reason. At times you are a spitting image of me in things you do or say and it makes me giggle. You look up to me as a parent and a friend. You listen to what i have to say, and you follow directions....most of the time. I feel like i am doing an OK job raising you. Not many kids are as fortunate as you when it comes to divided homes and divorced parents. Most mommy's/daddy's and step-moms and step-dads dont get along for selfish and childish reason that you could never understand. I thank GOD everyday that your mommy and i have a great relationship with each other and that your father and stepfather do as well. You are actually proud to have 4 parents and that is a true blessing. You are so loved in this crazy family we have and i am forever grateful that you are.
Always remember that your mommy and daddy love you more than life itself and that even though they couldn't get along anymore and raise you together, they raise you now with more love and the help of myself and your step dad. I hope as you grow, you realize the job that i have is not an easy one and never will be, even when your a grown married woman. I didn't give birth to you, but i look at you as "my child" and i always will. Never forget that squirt :)
Love you most like jelly and toast
Lizzy
PS i hope some day when your browsing the internet you come across this letter and i hope it touches your heart as you have touched mine :)

What is LifeVantage..........Part 1
Heya friends. Remember in my first blog where i said i would talk about my new adventure in life being in business for myself. Well here is the first blog to that series.
What is LifeVantage you ask?
Great question that I would LOVE to answer
Here we go............ Everyone wants to feel good, enjoy health and have the choices that come with financial independence. At LifeVantage®, we can help you achieve these goals. There has never been a better time to begin your LifeVantage® business. Those who see the potential and act now will benefit from our continued growth. But here is what makes LifeVantage different: distributors have the exclusive right to share Protandim®, the Nrf2 Synergizer®, which is protected by patents and validated by peer-reviewed science. LifeVantage has a compensation plan unlike any other because of the associated bonuses and payouts percentage. Distributors who take advantage of this compensation plan, along with the timing of company growth and the foundation of science, will change their lives and the lives of others for the better.
Now....that's the company in a nutshell. What do we do you ask? We create freedom for people who live the humdrum 9-5 life. Network marketing at it's finest people. A business YOU WANT to be in and with no contracts to sign or strings attached, it's the best one out there by far......and here is what I mean by "Network Marketing"
Network marketing is the ideal business model that allows anyone to reach out and thrive, regardless of economic conditions. In network marketing, you are an independent contractor with complete control over building and conducting your business, but you still have the support of a parent company, as well as other advantages. You don't have to create a business plan, and you don't have to create a product; you just have to find a company you like and a product you believe in and get to work.
Anyone can be a network marketer. It is for men and women of all backgrounds and ages, or from all ethnic or socioeconomic groups. For example, the LifeVantage family includes people from all walks of life: doctors, lawyers, teachers, athletes, stay-at-home moms, real estate agents, young adults, senior citizens and students from all around the world.
In network marketing, you are empowered to dream and achieve beyond what you thought was possible, to create and live the life you've always dreamed of.
That is network marketing. THAT is LifeVantage.
Now I am sure some of you out there are just shaking your head saying "OH another marketing pyramid scheme, don't do it"
WRONG!!!! Look at your job you currently have. Do you clock in and out everyday and make an hourly wage? You do? Well guess what, your already part of a "pyramid scheme" if you will. Your working to make someone else rich, not yourself. THAT'S where LifeVantage comes in. Single mom's out there, wouldn't you like to stay at home with your babies while getting PAID. Being able to live a normal stree free family life is possible when you work from home and become your own BOSS.
There are people just like you and me in this company making THOUSANDS of dollars...........THOUSANDS, every month. I know several of them in our area very well who aren't doing so bad themselves right now. Several of them are stay at home momma's too. IT WORKS folks, 100% no BS. If it didn't my husband and I wouldn't have signed up and believed in it. We have taken the products for ourselves and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing we feel.
Folks out there, I'm sure you get sick of my advertising everyday. No different from any of your friends that sell Scentsy, Nerium, Thirty-One and Avon. Only difference is, this business is new to our area and not many have heard of Protandim or LifeVantage like they have the others.
There are two ways to purchase LifeVantage products: become a distributor or a preferred customer. Both options receive wholesale prices on our products, but distributors earn commissions from sales to their network of family and friends.
Here is just one testimony of THOUSANDS out there.
If you knew what your life could be if you just had a few more choices, you wouldn’t put LifeVantage off another day. When everyone leaves the house, my husband doesn’t have to run off to a job, and I don’t have to run off to a job, and we can just spend time together. You can’t buy that freedom. That’s the freedom of LifeVantage. - Lisa Niederhauser
I would LOVE to have you join my awesome team!!!!!!!!

Just an Update
Well, it's been a hot minute since I've returned to the Blogging world, so I figured with so many positive things going on in my life, I should share them with those that are closest to me :)
I recently found a niche in the crafting world, little did I know I possesed the patience to craft and I loe working with burlap. I have made a LOT of wreaths, hair-bows, headbands, placemats...just about anything really. I have a page on facebook you should follow (if you don't already) called The Crafty Wife Collection. I make custom orders for people as well as seasonal items. I enjoy it. I love the response I get from people when they see their project come to life and proud to see it displayed in their homes or office. Who knew with getting older you would find new things about yourself? Hmm...
Next....my husband and I became a part of an amazing business opportunity with LifeVantage, which you will read more about. It will have it's own Blog. To be in business for ourselves and work with our family and neighbors on our team is just awesome. We all help each other and it is an awesome way to gain extra income while improving the health of yourself and those you love. Stand by.....
I also recently started to attend church again. Sad that where I live there are no Lutheran churches. I was just raised going to those. I enjoy any church, if they don't judge. Yes i have attended a few of those in my past where they do judge you by appearance and not what you harbor in your heart. Sad to say I stopped going due to that reason. But I had an amazing grandma (God rest your soul Mema) that taught me how to worship and love God on your own, how to read and understand the Bible and Gods word. I learned a lot about faith from that woman, and I am forever greatful. I have never read the bible in its entirity yet, but I am working on it. I have taken several steps in the ways of changing myself for the better. Becoming a better Christian person, wife and step-mom. Since doing so I have noticed a change within myself, almost like seeing through different eyes. Where certain things use to aggravate and upset me, now I try to figure it out and pray for the person or situation, which at times can be hard. I must admit, I thought I would never pray for someone that I'd rather give a swift kick in the rear to. LOL but to be a better BIGGER person, you must. I have found such faith and acceptance from people whom i NEVER thought would accept me because I am "different". My dear friends and family from the Heritage Apostolic Penticostal Church in Glenallen. Yes you read that right, ME attending church AND God didn't strike me down, so I guess there is hope for me yet. :)
I was nervous no doubt because I don't wear the skirts, i cut and color my hair, wear makeup and all that stuff. I wondered "are they going to like me, or are they going to judge me" some of you may be reading this blog, don't take that personal, just how i saw things at FIRST. But once i attended, I realized that you accepted me and liked me for who I AM not what i looked like. I follow the modest dress code, except i wear pants. I go to worship and pray just the same as they do. I have made some awesome friendships and relationships beyond what I have imagined, and i thank GOD everyday for that and being patient with me on my journey as a better Christian. I am blessed to have some pretty amazing people praying for me as well :)
Otherwise all is well in this Boyer household. We've added a new kitty cat, Lucy, she's about 6 months old now and all grey. Also, we have 2 chickens. 1 rooster and 1 hen, what are the odds of that? My step daughter won them at the fall festival in town when they were babies. Needless to say, they grew up in our spare bedroom in a kennel until they were old enough to be outside. Henry and Magdalene are their names, and no, we aren't putting these 2 on the menu LOL
Until next time......God Bless :)
